E-Shop Upgrade (Standard Package)
PrestaShop store upgrade to the latest version.
The standard store upgrade package includes:
- Installation of the latest PrestaShop software on your existing server.
- Data migration from your current store.
- Copying your existing settings to the new store.
- Installing official PrestaShop translations or copying translations from your current store, depending on your preference.
- Design configuration using a theme based on the PrestaShop Classic theme, which is compatible with mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. The design can be personalized with custom colors and font choices.
- Tax setup tailored to your business needs, with unnecessary tax options removed.
- Configuration of PrestaShop’s standard modules according to your requirements.
- Installation of a simple cookie banner that informs customers about cookies without blocking them from being set.
- Bot protection for the store’s contact form using Google reCAPTCHA V3. This requires registration on Google’s platform and API keys from you.
- Installation of the customer VAT number validation module, allowing VAT-exempt purchases for EU businesses with valid VAT numbers.
- Shipping method setup using our custom shipping modules, which support parcel delivery via Itella Smartpost, Omniva, DPD, and Venipak. When a customer selects parcel locker delivery, entering their address is optional, though they can still provide a billing address if needed (e.g., for business orders). Automatic updates of parcel locker and pickup point lists, exporting shipment details to service provider systems, and printing shipping labels directly from PrestaShop are all included.
- Configuration of your preferred payment methods.
- Custom email templates tailored for Estonian requirements, including English and Estonian translations. Additional translations for other store languages (if used) are not included in the standard package. Official PrestaShop translations do not support this custom template.

How the Store Upgrade Works
First, we’ll need access to your web and database server. We will install the new version of PrestaShop alongside your existing store as a development environment, where we’ll set up the necessary modules, theme, and configurations. We will then migrate data from your current store and thoroughly test the updated store to ensure everything works and looks as it should. Of course, you’ll also be able to review and test the updated store yourself. Your current store will remain fully operational during this process.
To launch the updated store, we will deactivate the existing store, migrate the latest data, and activate the updated store in its place. The downtime for customers will be minimal and can be scheduled for a less busy period. If desired, the old store and development environment can be preserved.
Additional notes
The standard store upgrade package does not include upgrading multi-stores (multishop functionality). If you have a multi-store setup that needs updating, wish to use a custom or a different theme, or wish to use third-party modules in the updated store, please contact us for a personalized offer.
